As a symbol of this very special period, Offenbach's A Trip to the Moon, which was due to be premiered at the Opéra national de Montpellier for the festive season of 2020 - before being revived in many French theatres - saw its public premiere cancelled, as did the first planned revival at the Opéra national de Lorraine, at this beginning of 2021.
Will the show finally be able to be proposed to the public at the Opéra de Tours next March, at the Opéra de Toulon next April? In any case, these are the dates initially planned as "revivals", for the 20/21 season.
So what do we wish for 2021, apart from ... the moon?
A utopia? Well no, let's not resolve it and let's hope!
