Francesco Salvadori sings Mozart's Figaro

At the Opéra de Lille

The italian baritone Francesco Salvadori  will sing in the next weeks Mozart's Figaro  from Le Nozze di Figaro, at the Opéra de Lille.

His young career has already led him to sing the roles of Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte) at the Auditorio de Tenerife and Teatro Del Maggio Fiorentino, Belcore (L'Elisir d'Amore) in Piacenza under the direction of Leo Nucci and Stefano Ranzani, Schaunard (Bohème) at the Verbier Festival, the Captain (Manon Lescaut) conducted by Placido Domingo at the Valencia Opera House (production recorded on CD by DECCA), Niceno (L'Incoronazione di Dario by Vivaldi) at the Palacio de las Artes de Valencia, the Soldier and Herauld (Verdi's Jerusalem) at the Teatro Regio di Parma under the baton of Daniele Callegari, Ben (The Telephone) at the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, the Dottor Malatesta (Don Pasquale) at the Opera of Biel, the Baron Totaro (I due baroni by Cimarosa) with the Geneva Chamber Opera, Ottavio (world premiere of Brimborium by Mauro Montalbetti) at the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte in Montepulciano and then at the Teatro Grande in Brescia, or in concert with the ensemble Cappella Mediterrana (conducted by Leonardo García Alarcon) at the Festival international d'Aix-en-Provence.

In 2017, he made his debut at the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, first as Schaunard (Bohème) in a show by Francesco Micheli directed by Stefano Ranzani, then as Morales in a production of Carmen by Calixto Bieito, directed by Myung-Whun Chung.

The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma also invited him to sing the role of the Journalist (Lulu) in a production by William Kentridge, then Bosun (Billy Budd) under the baton of James Conlon, in a production by Deborah Warner.

He recently made his debut at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées as the Scythe and Stéphane Degout's cover (Iphigénie en Tauride).
