The Rake’s Progress (by Stravinsky) is the story about the decline and fall of one Tom Rakewell, who deserts Anne Trulove for the delights of London in the company of the disguised Devil.
For his first staging in opera, David Bobée tries to give a modern vision and though a deeper sense to this fable.
Isabelle Druet is the appealing Baba the Turk, a bearded woman, who will, unfortunately, falls in love with the wrong guy, Tom.
Conducted by Jean Deroyer, the performance will travel : Caen, Reims, Rouen, Limoges, Luxembourg !
