Laurent Pillot

conducts Bloch's Macbeth in New York

Tonight, French Maestro Laurent Pillot will conduct the American Premiere of the French version of Ernest Bloch's Macbeth in New-York (Manhattan School of Music).

Laurent Pillot was Associate Music Director of Los Angeles Opera from 2003 to 2006, working alongside Kent Nagano and Plácido Domingo. He there conducted Ariadne auf Naxos, Tosca, Madama Butterfly and Bohème. More recently, he worked with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic for Così fan tutte that he also recorded. In March he will conduct Carmen with the Orchestre Symphonique Lyon Villeurbanne.
