D'autres le giflèrent

François Rougier, Alexandra Lacroix, Christophe Grapperon and the Compagnie Manque Pas d'Airs

Second component about the Bach's Passions, D'autres le giflèrent treats the theme of humiliation through a drama inspired by the Cross.

14 stations, 14 contemporary situations in which each performer takes the central place of the humiliated echoing the path of Christ. There were slaps, the crown of thorns, sputum, undressing, sharing the mantle, the trial, the shouts of the crowd, flogging the land falls, sponge with vinegar, the association with thieves, the sign ...

There are musicians who play by heart, every stage in tableaux which interact constantly text, music, space and body. Interpreters who generously invest Bach's music, resonate in the most intimate way and present the story of a delinquent body.

A Show of the  Compagnie Manque Pas d'Airs, with the collaboration of François Rougier.
