Amel Brahim-Djelloul
Soprano
Soprano Amel Brahim-Djelloul continues her luminous and singular path, rich in her two cultures. The 2023/2024 season bears witness to this, with concerts once again featuring her on the CD « Les chemins qui montent », a program based on songs from Kabylia and compositions by Thomas Keck, as well as with the Orchestre Pasdeloup, the ensembles Les Paladins and C Barré, guitarist Thomas Keck and pianist Nicolas Jouve.
A graduate of the CNSMD in Paris, as well as of William Christie's "Jardin des Voix" and nominated in the "Most promising lyrical artist" category of the Victoires de la Musique classique 2007, she quickly sang many roles of the repertoire: Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) at Angers-Nantes Opéra and at the Opéra de Lausanne, Despina (Così fan tutte) at the Opéra de Nice, Servilia (La clemenza di Tito) at the Opéra de Paris and the Festival d'Aix en Provence, but also The Princess (L'Enfant et les sortilèges), Ninette (L'amour des trois oranges) and Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica) at the Opéra de Paris, the title role of Messager's Véronique at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Gabrielle (La Vie Parisienne) at Angers-Nantes Opera, Nanetta (Falstaff) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Adina (L'Elisir d'Amore) and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opéra d'Avignon, Andreloun (Mireille) at the Chorégies d'Orange, Hébé, Fatime and Phani (Les Indes Galantes) at the Opéra national de Bordeaux and the Concertgebouw in Bruges, or Drusilla, Amore and Valletto in various productions of L'Incoronazione di Poppea (Opéra de Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Berlin Staatsoper, Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Opéras de Lille and Dijon), to name a few.
Regularly invited by many orchestras (Orchestre national de France, National Symphony Orchestra of Washington, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Orchestre des concerts Pasdeloup, Orchestre Symphonique National Algérien, Orchestre national d'Ile-de-France, Orchestre Philharmonique du Maroc...) and ensembles (Les Arts Florissants, Le Poème Harmonique, Les Paladins, Il Caravaggio, 2E2M, Mezwej, Les Talens Lyriques, Quatuor Debussy...), Amel Brahim-Djelloul broadens each season her range of personal projects which often link East and West, such as the programs "L'Orgue du Sultan" (with Achéron and Sultan Veld), "Les 1001 Lunes de la Princesse Boudour" (with Aymeric Lecerf and Nicolas Jouve), the "Populaires" recital (with Nicolas Jouve), "Canciones" (with C Barré) as well as her Mediterranean programs with the Amedyez Ensemble.
Her discography includes numerous opuses, like recitals with pianists Anne Le Bozec ("Les 1001 nuits") and Nicolas Jouve ("Populaires"), as well as a program of works from the Arab-Andalusian heritage ("Amel chante la Méditerranée") adapted by her brother, violinist and musicologist Rachid Brahim-Djelloul, and performed with the Amedyez Ensemble.
Amel Brahim-Djelloul is the artistic director of the association Nour with whom she sets up various projects ranging from teaching to the production of new shows and recordings.
She has been represented by RSB Artists since 2010.
Camille Delaforge
Conductor
Harpsichordist, vocal coach and conductor, passionate about voice and chamber music, Camille Delaforge founded the ensemble Il Caravaggio with mezzo soprano Anna Reinhold, with whom she recently performed at the Sablé-sur-Sarthe festival, the Oude Musiek festival in Utrecht, the Embaroquement Immédiat festival, the Sinfonia festival in Périgord, the Agapé festival (Geneva and Reims), and on tour in South Korea; the ensemble will also have the pleasure of starting an artistic residency at the Sablé-sur-Sarthe festival, with the support of the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles.
She has been Vincent Dumestre's artistic assistant to the Poème Harmonique since last season, and was assistant conductor of this same ensemble on two lyrical productions during the 2019/2020 season: Sebastián Durón's Coronis at the Opéra de Caen and Lully's Cadmus et Hermione at the Opéra Royal de Versailles.
She has also been invited to work with numerous orchestras, including the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg and the Orchestre de Cannes, when they play the Baroque repertoire.
Camille Delaforge regularly works as a conductor and continuo player with various ensembles such as Les Ambassadeurs, Le Concert de la Loge, the Ensemble Correspondances, Orfeo 55, with which she performs, among others stages, at the Chapelle Royale de Versailles, at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, at the Zariadye Hall in Moscow, the Philipszaal in The Hague, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Salzburger Festspiele, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, with programs such as Couperin's Les leçons de Ténèbres as well as "Heroes from the shadows", "Prima donna" and "Quella fiamma", recorded by Erato and Warner Music; as a conductor, she participated in the production of Grétry's Raoul de Barbe-Bleue, at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles.
Furthermore, she forms a duo with the French bass-baritone Guilhem Worms, with whom she has developed several chamber music programs on harpsichord and fortepiano (Mozartian repertoire on fortepiano and four hands alongside the pianist Karolos Zouganelis, French repertoire from different periods on harpsichord and voice).
Several recordings will be released this season 2020/2021, including two for the Versailles Spectacles label: Lully's Cadmus et Hermione with the Poème Harmonique (as assistant conductor and continuo player) then Miroirs, with his Ensemble Il Caravaggio, around Dandrieu's trio sonatas.
Concerned about developing socio-cultural exchanges through music teaching, she organises humanitarian projects. In this context she taught the most underprivileged children in Ecuador during the summer of 2015. This resulted in a partnership between the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and the University of Guayaquil (Ecuador).
A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, she studied harpsichord and basso continuo with Blandine Verlet, before joining the class of Olivier Baumont and Blandine Rannou at the CNSMDP. Camille Delaforge also holds a Teaching Degree for harpsichord.
Ensemble Il Caravaggio
Dirigé par la claveciniste Camille Delaforge, en collaboration avec la chanteuse Anna Reinhold, IL CARAVAGGIO est un nouvel acteur du paysage musical baroque français. À travers une attention toute particulière accordée à l’interprétation de répertoires français et italiens originaux et principalement dédiés à la musique vocale, Il Caravaggio a déjà créé plusieurs programmes sous cette ligne directrice, donné dans de nombreux festivals tels Festival de Sablé-sur-Sarthe, Oude Musiek d’Utrecht, Festival Agapé, Embaroquement Immédiat, Festival de Musique Baroque du Jura, Sinfonia en Périgord, Festival d’Amilly, Les Concerts d’été à Genève, Les Mercredis Musicaux de l’Opéra de Lille, Théâtre de Charleville- Mézières.
L’ensemble Il Caravaggio est en résidence à Sablé pour l’édition 2020 du Festival de Sablé dans le cadre du dispositif de « résidences croisées » mis en place sur l’ensemble du territoire français par le Centre de musique baroque de Versailles. Grâce au soutien de ces deux structures, deux programmes originaux (dont une oeuvre lyrique) autour de femmes compositrices verront le jour en 2020 et 2021. Par ailleurs, le premier disque de l’ensemble sortira au Printemps 2020 sous le label Versailles Spectacles, tandis que l’enregistrement de leur second disque se déroulera en juillet 2020.

Mezzo-Soprano
After studying at the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMD) and the University of Vienna, Anna Reinhold made her stage debut under the direction of William Christie, as part of his academy, "Le Jardin des Voix"; this was followed by numerous engagements with Les Arts Florissants, in Europe and America.
She now collaborates regularly with many conductors and ensembles : Leonardo García Alarcón (Cappella Mediterranea), Raphaël Pichon (Pygmalion), Laurence Equilbey (Accentus and Insula Orchestra), Jonathan Cohen (Balearic Islands Simphony Orchestra, Arcangelo ensemble, Orchestre d'Auvergne), Vincent Dumestre (Le Poème Harmonique), Simon-Pierre Bestion (La Tempête), Ryan Brown (Lafayette Opera), John Butt (Edinburgh Orchestra), Josh van Veldhoven (Bachvereniging), Jonathan Cohen (Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest and the Orchestre d’Auvergne), Andrea Marcon (La Cetra Barockorchester Basel), Giovanni Antonini (Il Giardino Armonico), Stephan Macleod (Gli Angeli Genève) ...
At the Opera, she sang the title role of L'Italiana in Algeri (Rossini) and Mélisande (Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande) at the Atelier lyrique de Tourcoing, L'Italiana in Algeri again, at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Cybèle (Lully's Atys) at the Opéra Royal de Versailles and at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Menesto (Cavalli's Elena) at the Festival d'Aix en Provence, Pandora (Draghi's El Prometeo) at the Opéra de Dijon, Adèle and Al Cirbec (Le Mystère de l'écureuil bleu by Marc-Olivier Dupin) at the Opéra Comique in Paris, or the Second Camerist (Le Nain by Zemlinsky) at the Théâtre de Caen.
Particularly appreciated for her interpretations in concerts and chamber music repertoire, Anna Reinhold is a regular guest at festivals such as Les Musicales de Colmar (Schönberg's Pierrot Lunaire, Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen ...), the Kaposvar Festival and the Budapest Festival Academy in Hungary, the Cork Festival in Ireland; she recently sang the cantata Phaedra (Britten) with the Orchestre régional de Normandie and performs in duet with guitarist and lutenist Quito Gato, in both baroque ("Lagrime mie") and popular ("Mi corazón espanol") programs.
She also founded the ensemble "Il Caravaggio" with harpsichordist Camille Delaforge, which can be heard in France and abroad, in French and Italian baroque repertoires.
Anna Reinhold made numerous recordings, notably with Raphaël Pichon and the Pygmalion ensemble (Bach's Hohe Messe), lutenist Thomas Dunford ("Labirinto d'Amore"), Cappella Mediterranea conducted by Leonardo García Alarcón ("Heroines of the Venetian Baroque"), William Christie's Les Arts Florissants (« N’espérez plus, mes yeux », « Bien que l'Amour », « Si vous vouliez un jour »), or the ensemble Il Caravaggio (« Madonna della Grazia »).
For her 2023/2024 season : she will sing the role of Flamel (Fantasio) at the Opéra Comique, the roles of Speranza and Proserpine (L'Orfeo) with the Cappella Mediterranea, the « Airs sérieux et à boire » program with Les Arts Florissants, Haydn's Stabat Materwith the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia,« La Senna festegiante » with Les Violons du Roy in Quebec, Berlioz's Les Nuits d'été on tour with the ensemble La Parenthèse, and the Danza program with Le Poème Harmonique.
