Dominique Trottein

In Festival de Saint-Céré

In the middle of the Lot valley, the Saint-Céré festival is a link between theatre and opera. This beautiful union of two different arts and audiences is a "lyric theatre" for some, a "dramatic opera" for others. The music director Dominique Trottein   (see photo) takes an active part in it.

On local tour, he conducts L'Histoire du soldat by Stravinsky, inspired from a folk russian fairy telling the story of a soldier violonist, tempted by the devil, and learning money is not happiness.

At the  Castelnau Bretenoux castle, Dominique Trottein conducts Verdi's Falstaff. Unique comedy by the italian composer, we discover the "world is only a joke"!
