Two of our young and talented artists are currently participating in the season-opening La Traviata at the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Catherine Trottmann and Kévin Amiel.
If the role of Flora is familiar to the mezzo soprano since she has already sung it at the Vienna Staatsoper, it will be a great debut for the tenor, in the emblematic role of Alfredo, alternating with Airam Hernandez.
This season will continue, for Kévin Amiel, with a tour of most of the French opera houses with the winners of the prestigious 2018 Voix Nouvelles competition, the roles of Sir Hervey (Anna Bolena) at the Opéra national de Bordeaux, the Governor/Judge/Grand Inquisitor (Candide by Bernstein) at the Opéra de Marseille and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Marcellus and the 2nd Grave Digger (Thomas' Hamlet) at the Opéra Comique, Siebel (Faust) at the Opéra de Marseille, Malcolm (Macbeth) at the Opéras de Limoges and Reims, and Fritz (Offenbach's La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein) at the Théâtre de l'Odéon in Marseille.
As for Catherine Trottmann, we will see her sing the roles of Diana and the 2nd Priestess (Iphigénie en Tauride) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, take over the role of Flora in the same house, or give a series of New Year's concerts with the Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire and recitals with pianist Karolos Zouganelis at the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence and in Sofia.
