Clément Lonca is invited this season 2023-24 to conduct Brundibár (H. Krása) at the Opéra national de Lyon and makes his debut with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire conducting film-concerts Blancanieves (Berger/Vilallonga) at the Opéra de Nantes. Alongside, he works at the Theatre an der Wien assisting Petr Popelka (Weinberger, Schwanda der Dudelsackpfeifer) and Jérémie Rhorer (Donizetti, Les Martyrs), then at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence with Daniele Rustioni (Verdi, Les Vêpres siciliennes) and at the Salzburger Festspiele with Bertrand de Billy (Thomas, Hamlet).

During the 2022-23 season, he conducted Rossini's Moïse et Pharaon at the Opéra de Lyon, replacing Music Director Daniele Rustioni. He created the Swiss premiere of Spring (Á. Cservenák) at the 76th Geneva Competition, then assisted Bertrand de Billy for a new production at the Wiener Staatsoper (Poulenc, Dialogues des carmélites), Daniele Rustioni at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (Massenet, Hérodiade) and Titus Engel at the Opéra de Lyon (Bartók, Bluebeard's Castle). He worked as a temporary assistant professor for conducting at the HEM Genève during one semester.

In 2021-22, Clément replaced Daniele Rustioni for the first time for a performance of Verdi's Rigoletto at the Opéra de Lyon. He was laureate of the 4th Bucharest Conducting Competition (chairman John Axelrod), where he won the Bucharest Music Institute Prize. He collaborated with David Stern at the Opéra-Théâtre de Metz (Mozart, Idomeneo) and Opera Fuoco (Bernstein, Candide and Mayr, L’Amor conjugale). He was selected for the Gstaad Conducting Academy of the Menuhin Festival 2021, where he was mentored by Johannes Schlaefli and Jaap van Zweden.

Passionate about repertoire from baroque to contemporary music, he also assisted conductors such as Lothar Koenigs (Dukas, Ariane et Barbe-Bleue), Bernhard Kontarsky (Schreker, Irrelohe), Pierre Bleuse (Massenet, Thaïs), Guillaume Bourgogne (Ensembles Cairn, Court-Circuit and 2e2m) and Philippe Pierlot (Bach, Johannes-Passion). Clément graduated from the HEM Genève in 2020 with a Master's degree in Orchestral conducting (Prof. Laurent Gay).
