Catherine Trottmann and Aline Martin get back to childhood

at the Opéra de Limoges

Second and last lyric fantasy by Maurice Ravel (after L'Heure espagnole) whose libretto was written by Colette, L'Enfant et les sortilèges will be played this week at the Opéra de Limoges in a staging built around the creation of videographer Grégoire Pont and a staging by James Bonas.

Under the baton of Philippe Forget, Catherine Trottmann interprets the title role which is L'Enfant (the child) and Aline Martin is La Maman ( the Mom), La Tasse chinoise (a broken china cup) and La Libellule (the Dragonfly).

Nominated in the "Lyrical artist revelation" category of the Victoires de la Musique 2017 and "HSBC 2017 Laureate of the Festival d'Aix" Catherine Trottmann was soon noticed for the richness of her timbre and her scenic investment and she was quickly offered some of the most emblematic roles in the repertoire.
