Grégoire Mour once again on the stage of the Opéra de Lyon

He will be Borsa  in Rigoletto

After having sung Rodolphe (Guillaume Tell) and Maréchal Trac (Offenbach's Le Roi Carotte) at the Opéra de Lyon, Grégoire Mour is already back this season for the role of Borsa in Rigoletto. This production will be conducted by Michele Spotti and directed by Axel Ranisch.

Grégoire Mour was a member of the Studio de l'Opéra de Lyon between 2017 and 2019, during which time he performed the roles of Uldino (Attila) and Abdallo (Nabucco) under the direction of Daniele Rustioni at the Opéra de Lyon and the Théatre des Champs-Elysées, the roles of the Prince and the Buffoon (Respighi's La bella addormentata nel bosco) under the direction of Philippe Forget or Torquemada (Ravel's L'Heure espagnole) under the direction of Jonathan Stockhammer; he recently played the role of the Young Prisoner (From the House of the Dead by Leoš Janáček) directed by Krzysztof Warlikowsky.
Grégoire Mour made his debut at Barbican Hall in London as a soldier (Alice in Wonderland by Unsuk Chin) with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, then returned for the role of an Elder Brother (World Premiere of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' The Hogboon) with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle.
Particularly at ease in Rossini's repertoire, he performed at the Chapelle de La Trinité in Lyon in a Concert Tribute to the Composer with the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Lyon led by Daniele Rustioni and recently sang the tenor solo part of Rossini's Stabat Mater at the Grand Amphitheatre de la Sorbonne.
Also interested in the repertoire of musical, he performed at the Théâtre du Châtelet the role of Uncle Ian in the world premiere Why did I eat my father? with the English company Vivo d'Arte, he played the role of Bernardo (Bernstein's West side Story), or the title role of Gershwin, in a show created around his music.

Among his other projects for the 2019/2020 season: Normanno (Lucia di Lammermoor) at the Opéra de Nice Côte d'Azur in May 2020, staged by Stefano Vizioli and under the musical direction of Andriy Yurkevych.
