Considered to be one of the greatest conductors of our time, especially for the Italian repertoire, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli will conduct Verdi's monumental Requiem at the Hamburgischen Staatsoper in the next few days, in a version directed by Calixto Bieito, a preview of which can be seen by clicking here.
After having conducted this season Il Trovatore at the Nationaltheater in Mannheim, Turandot and then Andréa Chénier at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Un Ballo in Maschera at the Oviedo Opera and Nabucco at the Theater in Essen, we will see him again at the end of the season at the Opéra-théâtre de Metz, for Verdi's Giovanna d'Arco, then at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile -of which he was recently appointed Musical Director-, for Lucia di Lammermoor.
