The Cathedral of Antibes, the Cathedral of Saint-Louis des Invalides in Paris and the Arsenal in Metz, these are the three places where we will be able to hear the bass Frédéric Caton in the coming days, performing the solo bass part of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem.
A very Mozartian start to the season, with the Orchestre de Cannes under the direction of Benjamin Lévy, then the Orchestre national de Lorraine, conducted by David Reiland.
After a season that saw him sing some of the most beautiful roles in the bass repertoire (Brother Laurent, Arkel, Nourabad...), it is a 2018/2019 season just as rich, but with more unusual roles, that awaits Frédéric Caton.
He will successively sing the roles of the Second Philistine (Samson and Dalila) at the Monte-Carlo Opera, L'ombre de Virgile and Le Vieillard (Dante by Benjamin Godard) at the Opéra de Saint-Etienne, of La mère (Les sept péchés capitaux by Kurt Weill) to the Opéra de Tours, from Plutone (L'Orfeo by Monteverdi) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and of the Devin (Le Devin du Village by Rousseau) to the Opéra de Versailles with Les Nouveaux Caractères.
