During the 2025–2026 season, Mathieu Gourlet performs the roles of Sarastro (Une Petite flûte enchantée) at the Opéra de Lausanne, Angelotti (Tosca) at the Opéra de Saint-Étienne, Le Commandeur and Masetto (Don Giovanni) on tour with ARCAL, Frère Jean (Roméo et Juliette) at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, as well as Pilate (La Passion selon Saint-Jean) on concert tour with the ensemble Il Caravaggio, and Grande Messe en Ut mineur by Mozart with Le Concert de la Loge.
He recently sang the roles of Sarastro (Une Petite flûte enchantée) and Conte di Ceprano (Rigoletto) at the Opéra de Toulon, Sacristain (Tosca) at the Théâtre impérial de Compiègne and on tour in France, Masetto (Don Giovanni) with ARCAL at the Théâtre de l’Athénée, and Osmin (L’Enlèvement au Sérail) at the operas of Clermont Auvergne and Reims.
Other roles he has performed include Guccio (Gianni Schicchi) at the Opéra national de Lorraine, Carnaval (Le Carnaval de Venise) on tour with Il Caravaggio, Bartolo (Les Noces de Figaro) in Oppède-le-Vieux, Le Berger (Pelléas et Mélisande) and Colas (Bastien et Bastienne) at the Théâtre Pierre de Roubaix, and Jupiter (Platée) at the Nuits du Mont Rome. He regularly collaborates with Ensemble Il Buranello, New Baroque Times, and Ensemble Septentrion.
A graduate in voice from the CRD of Roubaix and in drama from the CRR of Lille, Mathieu Gourlet positions himself as a multidisciplinary artist.
In theatre, he made his debut on Parisian stages with the Compagnie AH, performing the role of Obéron in Le Songe d’une nuit d’été.
Closely connected to the circus arts, he is co-founder of the acrobat company Offthegrips, currently in residence in the Hauts-de-France region.
His vocal journey has led him to work with renowned professionals such as Gabriel Bacquier, Ludovic Tézier, Patrizia Ciofi, Fabrice di Falco, Thomas Jolly, Àlex Ollé, Christian Schiaretti, Marie-Eve Signeyrole, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli, Alain Altinoglu, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, and Jean-Claude Malgoire.
A member of the 2023–2024 cohort of Génération Opéra, Mathieu Gourlet has been represented by RSBA since 2024.
