A graduate of the CRD in Roubaix (singing) and the CRR in Lille (drama), Mathieu Gourlet is a multidisciplinary artist.

His career has led him to work with renowned professionals such as Gabriel Bacquier, Ludovic Tézier, Patrizia Ciofi, Fabrice di Falco, Thomas Jolly, Alex Ollé, Christian Schiaretti, Marie-Eve Signeyrole, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli, Alain Altinoglu, Eivind Gullberg Jensen and Jean-Claude Malgoire.

From 2016 to 2022, he appeared as Guccio (Gianni Schicchi) at the Opéra national de Lorraine, as Le Berger (Pelléas et Mélisande) and Colas (Bastien et Bastienne) at the Théâtre Pierre de Roubaix, and as Jupiter (Platée) at the Nuits du Mont Rome. Mathieu performs regularly with the Ensemble Il Buranello, the New Baroque Times and the Ensemble Septentrion.

He made his theatrical debut in Paris with Compagnie AH, playing Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Close to the circus arts, he is co-founder of the Offthegrips company of acrobats, currently in residence in Hauts-de-France.

This 2023-2024 season he will be Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro) in Oppède-le-vieux, the Conte di Ceprano (Rigoletto) in Toulon, Sagrestano (Tosca) in Compiègne, Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) at the Clermont Auvergne and Reims operas.

Mathieu Gourlet has been represented by the RSBA agency since 2024.
