Romanian soprano Florina Ilie has been a member of the Vienna State Opera since 2023, where she has performed numerous leading roles: Micaela (Carmen), Adina (L'Elisir d'Amore), Laurette (Gianni Schicchi), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Servilia (La Clemenza di Tito), Sophie (Werther), Marzelline (Fidelio), Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos), Waldvogle (Siegfried), and Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel).

She has also recently been heard in France as Marguerite de Valois (Les Huguenots) at the Opéra de Marseille, Fiorilla (Il Turco in Italia) at the Opéra d'Avignon, Blonde at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, 1st Lady (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opéra-Théâtre de Metz, and Anna (Nabucco) at the Opéras de Nice and Toulon.

She made her stage debut at the age of 17 at the Bucharest National Opera in the role of the Third Child (Die Zauberflöte) and completed her vocal studies at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien, before joining the Frankfurt Opera company from 2018 to 2021, where she was given roles such as Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), Valenciennes (Die lustige Witwe), Gilda (Rigoletto), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), and Dorinda (Orlando).

She has also performed at the Darmstadt Opera as Najade, the Klosterneuburg Opera as Antonia (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), the Bucharest National Opera as Pamina and the St. Gallen Theatre as Leontine (L'amant anonyme, by Bologne).

Her awards include first prize and the prize for excellence at the Paul Constantinescu Competition, the Förderpreis der Opernstudio OperAvenir am Theater Basel at the Otto Edelmann International Singing Competition in Vienna, first prize at the Ada Burlui Lied Competition, the Förderpreis der Jungen Oper Austria at the ISA Sommerakademie in Vienna, and first prize at the Sabin Drago Competition.

Florina Ilie has been represented by RSBA since 2025.
