Specializing in opera and vocal repertoire, conductor Guillemette Daboval has a particular affinity for French music, which she explores through a wide-ranging repertoire.

Her 2026–2027 season includes concerts with the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Orchestre Dijon-Bourgogne, and the Orchestre Ostinato. She also conducts Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Pôle Sup’93.

Her time at the Opéra-Comique as a member of the Académie Favart from 2023 to 2025 led her to work closely with Louis Langrée on the landmark production of Ravel’s L’Heure Espagnole and Stravinsky’s Pulcinella in a staging by Guillaume Gallienne, as well as Auber’s Le Domino Noir staged by Valérie Lesort and Christian Hecq, and Offenbach’s Fantasio under the musical direction of Laurent Campellone in Thomas Jolly’s production. In 2026, she conducted and conceived the musical adaptation of Valse rêvée, a production inspired by Offenbach, featuring the artists of the Académie.

She regularly collaborates with major artistic figures such as Barbara Hannigan, Débora Waldman, Hervé Niquet, and Laurence Equilbey, as well as with leading opera houses including the Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Opéra de Dijon, the Opéra de Rouen, the Opéra de Tours, and the Opéra de Toulon.

In parallel, Guillemette Daboval became Associate Conductor of the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées in 2025, having worked regularly with the orchestra since 2021 on the Chœur et Orchestre des Jeunes project.

In 2022, she conducted Bizet’s Carmen with the North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra before joining the Berlin Opernfest as Assistant Conductor for Strauss’s Die Fledermaus.

Since that same year, she has been regularly invited by the Chœur de Radio France, notably for the world premiere of Rufus Wainwright’s Dream Requiem.

Guillemette Daboval is recognized for both her musical and artistic direction, notably as founder of Ensemble Esquisses, with which she recorded Par un matin in 2023, a critically acclaimed album, and of Compagnie Datura, with which she conducted Lakmé in a staging by Mathilde Bellin.

She graduated from the CNSMD de Lyon, where she studied conducting in the class of Lionel Sow. There, she met influential figures such as Julien Masmondet, Enrique Mazzola, and Raphaël Pichon, all of whom helped shape her artistic development.

Considering work with amateur ensembles to be an important part of her musical mission, she also serves as Music Director of Le Cantrel de Lyon and Ensemble 6/5 barré.

Guillemette Daboval has been represented by RSBA since 2023.
